Postern Hill Campsite is closed whilst Forestry England consider options for the future operators of the site. They will share more information in due course but will continue to manage Savernake Forest in line with their commitments made to the forest and local communities in the ‘Our Shared Forest’ land management plan.

With direct access to cycling, walking, and hiking trails leading into the forest, you can embark on solo or family adventures. There's a wealth of activities including wild swimming & paddle boarding and sights within a few minutes from site, including Forest of Dean Cycle Centre, Symonds Yat, Beechenhurst, and Mallards Pike visitor centers, Go Ape, as well as local pubs and restaurants.
