Ancient location
Postern Hill campsite situated in the heart of the ancient Savernake Forest is truly a unique site of special scientific interest.
It's a perfect base whether you're a seasoned camper or a beginner, offering grass pitches with electric or non-electric, where your pets are welcome for free.
A perfect base to explore the local landmarks all just a short drive from site, enjoy the summer solstice or just sit back and soak in the stunning natural beauty.
Excellent local amenities
Located just a short walk with a path directly from the campsite to Marlborough village, in the picturesque rural north-east of Wiltshire,
much of its great natural beauty is environmentally protected and it offers the discerning visitor a unique blend of modern attractions and facilities. Site of a twice-weekly market, the High Street is one of the widest in the UK and lined on both sides with characterful old buildings housing an array of high quality shops, bars and restaurants.
Facilities
Our facilities are limited, we do have toilets and wash basins, but do not have showers. We also have chemical waste disposal and fresh water points.
Although there are ramps leading to the toilets and wash basins, a small step at the entrance of the blocks may make it challenging to navigate.

Sherwood Pines Camping Ltd
Operate 3 campsites in partnership with Forestry England Camping. Sherwood Pines and Bracelands are open all year, and Postern Hill which is open April to October. We're passionate about the outdoors and we want to share our love of camping with others, that's why our camping loyalty card is valid to use on all 3 of the sites we manage.
