Postern Hill Campsite are super excited to host Forage Box on various dates throughout the winter with their outstanding “Introduction to Foraging Workshops”
Here is what you can expect from your foraging workshop:
A circular walking route taking in different growing environments around the site within the wooded boundaries of Postern Hill Campsite, nestled within the Ancient Savernake Forest. Expect a route of around 1-2km predominantly on footpaths.
A closer look at edible wild species and any poisonous lookalikes by a professional forager.
A chance to immerse yourself in a soul-nourishing activity & reconnect with nature . This session will include a wild snack made in advance by our passionate tutor!

Pre-booking this popular activity is essential as SPACES ARE LIMITED and should be booked in advance. Non Campers and local residents are also encouraged to book tickets, and if parking on site a £5 per car fee will apply paid to the campsite on arrival.
PLEASE NOTE : THIS IS AN EDUCATIONAL INFORMATIVE WORKSHOP. NO FORAGING WILL BE TAKING PLACE DURING THESE EVENTS.

Woodland crafts
Join Explore the Great Outdoors at Postern Hill Campsite on the following Friday's from 1pm-4pm and take part in their woodland Crafts. You can make dream catchers, woodland jewellery and other fantastic nature based masterpieces. £2 per person

Make a dream catcher and journey stick, Which used to be made by American Indians.

Meet the Mini beasts and go on an adventure to find your own!!
science in nature:
Mud slime - creating slime using soil.
Leaf colour - leaf science chromatography experiment
Bridge making - using objects around nature to build a bridge and test who's can hold the most weight!
